Chief Executive Officer
Brendan has been the CEO of FAST (Finance & Systems Technology) since October 2012.
With extensive experience in the Australian financial services sector, this includes leading diverse and large distribution businesses across a range of customer segments, such as Business Banking, Retail Banking and Third Party Origination. Over the past seven years having Board, Governance, Director, Responsible Manager, Regulation and licenced entity responsibilities, including active member of Combined Industry Forum created in 2017 to address Financial Regulator and more recently Royal Commission recommendations.
Brendan has developed and executed strategies spanning third party and proprietary distribution channels, platform and digital business models, contact centres, operations, credit/risk and marketing. He is committed to maximising employee engagement and capability to drive sustainable customer advocacy and retention, through meeting their diverse business and personal financial needs.
Previously, Brendan has owned and operated a private enterprise in the manufacturing sector. He knows what it means for business owners to have their own capital on the line and understands the associated challenges of running a business, creating employment and delivering to customers.
Brendan is passionate about business, small, medium and large enterprises, given they are the engine room of most economies globally and this is certainly the case in Australia. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, in 2016 completed the Advanced Management Program – Harvard Business School and is currently undertaking the Global Executive MBA at Monash Business School completing in December 2019.
Head of Northern Region
Rob has been in the financial services industry for over 23 years, with exposure to Business Banking, Retail Banking, Private Banking, Credit/Risk and Loans Administration. An early entrant to the Third Party Broker Industry, Rob has been in the broker channel for over 18 years as a lender, commencing with BNZ in 1995. He has seen the evolution of the broker industry, and been part of the ever growing segment of third party distribution of home loans.
The past eight years has seen Rob in sales and distribution, including leadership roles in Mortgage Manager Homeloans Limited and Westpac. Rob has worked in state leadership roles for NAB Broker in WA and NSW, with his most recent role being the National Manager for the phone based BDM team in NAB Broker and Advantedge, leading a team of three Team Leaders and twenty four BDMs. The primary function of this role involved people leadership, as well as strategy, design and implementation of an operating model that spanned the two distribution businesses of NAB Broker and the Advantedge white label business.
Rob has a passion for the industry and strongly believes that the mortgage broker industry will continue to grow in share as they provide quality service to their customers.
Rob is excited to be the Regional Manager, North covering NSW, ACT and QLD for FAST, and to be part of a recognised and successful business that offers a broad range of products and quality service to finance brokers looking to diversify and grow their businesses.
Head of Southern Region
Simon is an experienced senior leader with over 25 years experience in the financial services industry. Following a successful career within the Retail, Business and Wealth Management areas of the market, Simon spent five years managing his own integrated financial services business encompassing finance broking, financial planning and accounting.
Simon re-joined the corporate world five years ago and during this time has been responsible for leading national distribution channels such as Mobile Lending and Kiosk Banking. He was also responsible for the design, development and implementation of the strategy to grow the more in-direct channels, including Kiosks, Mobile Bankers, Workplace Banking Programs and non-broker third party referrers.
In his ‘spare’ time Simon is a passionate cyclist and loves to watch his three kids play their chosen sports.
Simon is very excited to be part of an industry leading team at FAST. Simon is the Regional Manager, South and is responsible for the Victorian, South Australian, Northern Territory, Western Australian and Tasmanian markets.
He is passionate about the third party distribution industry and his commitment strengthens the support we provide to enable you to achieve future growth and business success in addition to ensuring FAST is very well placed to continue to lead the way in this dynamic industry.
Head of Aggregation Operations & Partnership Support
Lorelle has been in the Financial Services industry for 20 years and has had a number of lending and leadership roles within Retail, Small Business and Corporate.
As Head of Operations and Partnership Support for FAST, Lorelle is responsible for delivering change initiatives, managing risk and compliance for the FAST business and broker businesses and leading the Professional Development Program.
Lorelle exudes a customer-centric nature, is passionate about learning, and focused on developing new ways to deliver value to customers whilst helping brokers grow their businesses. She is partway through her MBA and recently completed the Stanford Leadership Program, continuing to invest in learning opportunities is an important way she continues to challenge herself and her team to think strategically and focus on innovation.
Whilst Lorelle is new to the mortgage broking industry, she has quickly become a huge advocate for broker businesses. She is passionate about the value that brokers deliver to their clients and sees her role at FAST as supporting brokers to build successful and sustainable businesses enabling them to continue to deliver the valuable client experiences brokers are known for.
